About the Founder
I’m Skylar Wilson, founder of Alchuma — a botanical alchemy house devoted to refined plant preparations, ritual beauty practices, and reverent relationship with life.
I live and work in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, where I craft small-batch spagyric botanicals rooted in traditional alchemical methods and careful attention to the intelligence of plants.
My path into this work began thirteen years ago. A close friend and mentor returned from Peru carrying stories and lived experience of plant traditions grounded in reverence and relationship. At the time, I was facilitating guided ceremonial experiences in wilderness settings and community spaces in the Bay Area.
During one pivotal experience in ceremony shortly after, something clarified in me. I felt an unmistakable coherence — a deep sense of alignment and acceptance that reshaped how I understood myself and my work. I recognized that my life would be devoted to stewarding plant relationships that help others cultivate deeper presence in their own lives.
Seven years ago, I traveled to Peru’s Sacred Valley to deepen my study. There, I continued learning from traditions that honor plants as intelligent partners rather than commodities. I began integrating classical spagyric principles — honoring the full spectrum of a plant’s expression — with refined awareness practices that support alignment within the body, psyche and Earth’s systems.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked with more than a thousand individuals in facilitated settings centered on reflection, integration, and relational awareness. That work continues to inform how I approach Alchuma: with care, discernment, and humility.
Alchuma is the distilled expression of this path.
Each preparation is crafted slowly and intentionally, honoring the full life cycle of the plant through traditional spagyric processes. These botanicals are offered for ritual and external use, designed to support intentional beauty practices and renewed connection to a thriving world.
For me, beauty is not surface.
